Forest

Forest of E2Gov evaluates emissions of volatile organic compounds (excluding methane) from the vegetation.

Forest estimates emissions for 19 classes of vegetation (oaks, poplars, pines, etc..), 3 classes of altitude (plains, hills, mountains), 12 months and 3 classes of VOCs (isoprene, monoterpenes, other compounds). The estimation uses the area covered by vegetation, the density of foliar biomass, emission factors at 30°C and photosynthetically active solar radiationThe model uses functions for temperature and solar radiation corrections from the methodology of the Task Force on Emission Inventories and Projections.

The plug-in represents the evolution of the original model Air Forest provided until 2010 as a separate model, and now integrated into E2Gov.
